Many dealers are feeling upbeat about a great year ahead for car sales. Auto sales are expected to rise at minimum 10% over last year.

Also with all the dealerships that have closed over the last few years the number of sales per dealership is up. Dealers are now hiring more sales people ahead of the expected sales rush.
Dealers are also upgrading sales and service facilities to be more competitive going forward.
Car manufacturers are expecting a nice bounce back in sales after a few years of downturn.
J.D. Power and Associates Senior Vice President John Humphrey said the outlook for dealers is good.
Also Japanese automakers are over the supply disruptions caused by the tsunami in early 2011 which is great news for import dealers.
Anyway you look at it both new and used car sales levels should increase in 2012 and beyond.
