2015 SRT Barracuda to replace Dodge Challenger

  Chrysler is bringing back the Barracuda nameplate for 2015. It will be a direct replacement for the Dodge Challenger. The car with be smaller and lighter than the outgoing Challenger. Making it a better competitor to the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. The new 2015 SRT Barracuda is expected to be 8 inches shorter than the outgoing Challenger and 300 lbs lighter. Engine sizes have not been confirmed however the top level car will no doubt get a V8 Hemi. Base models will be fitted with a V6 or even Fiat’s new 2.4 litre inline four Tigershark engine with forced induction. The Barracuda’s aggressive looks are more than just skin deep. The car is a great addition to Chrysler’s Street Racing and Technology division along with the all new 2013 SRT Viper that was just introduced a few months ago.

Ferrari Parade Sets New Guinness World Record

  The English racing circuit Silverstone was home to a new Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars’ in one location. The previous record was just 490 Ferrari vehicles. This record almost doubled that feet and now stands at 964 Ferrari cars. Felipe Massa was the guest of honour and lead the parade in a brand new Ferrari 458 Spider. He was followed by many iconic Ferrari models from the past which included Enzos, F40s, F430s, Testarossas, Californias, among others. This world record attempt was made possible by the cooperation of the British Ferrari Owners Club which helped organize the event.

Redneck car trunk at Ben & Jerry’s ice cream factory

  What do you do when the trunk of your car just isn’t big enough for all the ice cream you can possibly desire? This extra capacity car trunk on a 1980′s vintage two tone Camaro Z28 was spotted in the parking lot of the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory in Vermont. No word on whether refrigeration was rigged up for the extra storage capacity, or whether ice cream soup was on the menu for the next few days..

Arnold Swarzenegger buys a monster Mercedes-Benz Unimog truck for a cool $250K

  While Arnold Schwarzenegger has always been a fan of military trucks, he has been on a green vehicle kick while being Governor of California. That all changed when he picked up the keys to this behemoth last Thursday. It’s a Mercedes-Benz Unimog U1300 which cost $250,000 US with all the added customizing Arnold had done to it. Generally speaking Mercedes-Benz doesn’t sell this vehicle in the United States but is used around the rest of the world in construction, forestry, and military applications. The Unimog is known for being one of the best off-road capable trucks on the planet. Not sure where Arnold plans on taking it. You never know it might make a cameo appearance in his next action movie?
