To coincide with Porsche’s 40th Anniversary celebration they have announced the next generation of their supercar 911 Turbo to the masses.

Porsche unveiled its all new 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S. While the body shape is pretty much the same as everyone is used to, it’s what’s underneath its skin that’s changed significantly.

There is a new all wheel drive system, along with active rear steering, adaptive aero front and rear, and 520 HP (560 for the S version).

As for transmissions the 7-Speed PDK system has been revised, however, there is no manual available…this will case concern for true die-hard fans of having a clutch pedal.

The all new Turbo and Turbo S will arrive in Canada in December 2013 with prices starting at $169,200 for the Turbo and $206,600 for the Turbo S model.

To all those wanting to be first in line to buy one of these rockets…get your cheque books ready, it’s going to be expensive but worth every penny.

The supercar celebrates 50 years in business for Lamborghini. The company has decided to only produce 100 units of the Aventador LP 720-4 50 Anniversario, each of which will be numbered with a special logo.

The standard colour of the special edition Lamborghini will be Giallo Maggio (May Yellow). There are two reasons; firstly, as a tribute to the most preferred colour chosen by Lamborghini customers over the company’s existence. Secondly, as a tribute to the founding of Lamborghini which happened in the month of Maggio (May) 1963. However, it should be noted if you are quick you can also specify another colour through the brand’s “Ad Persona” individualization program.

Contrasting the body color is the new aerodynamic body kit finished in matte black that includes an extended front apron and splitter with small flaps set into the sides, side skirts, and a brand new rear bumper with an enlarged diffuser. The wheels are painted in a beautiful gloss black.

According to Lamborghini, “Overall, handling stability at extreme speeds has been optimized without impacting drag characteristics due to an increase of more than 50% in the aerodynamic efficiency compared to the Aventador LP 700-4″.

Inside, buyers can choose from two shades, Nero Ade (black) combined with Terra Emilia (brown) brown or Giallo Quercus (yellow) semi-aniline leather in a diamond pattern, specifically developed for the Aventador 50° Anniversario.

Lastly, not to be outdone, Lamborghini engineers re-calibrated the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V12 power plant to improve output by 20HP over the standard model for a total of 720HP. A fast-shifting ISR transmission drives all-four wheels with Lamborghini quoting a 0-100km/h (62mph) time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (218mph).

Pricing details were not released, however, as the saying goes “if you have to ask you probably can’t afford it”. For those that have the green necessary by all means get your order in quick…no doubt these will sell off quickly…and if yellow is not your colour all the more reason to get your selection in fast.

Although the video was released on April 1st you can see this is no April fools joke. Monster Energy pulled all the stops to create an inconceivable short driving film. It ends with a drive down the Vegas Strip at night with all the lights blazing.

The film is named #RECOIL; no doubt it’s another video that has gone viral showing some serious driving mastery with great camera work to boot.

Well that dream shoulda, woulda, coulda happened, but didn’t, to one recent Lamborghini buyer as instead it was totalled just hours after taking purchase.

One wealthy car buyer dropped $250,000 on a gorgeous 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago in La Jolla California only to crash it on the very ride home.

To add insult to injury the driver and his blonde female passenger left the car abandoned on the side of the road with massive damage to it.

It has been reported that the car is a total loss. The new owner has not come forward to claim the car as of yet, however, let’s face it there is not much left to claim.

Police are still unsure if it was the buyer who was behind the wheel at the time of the accident…however, who else could it have been? We’ll find out soon enough as more information is released.

The ultra exclusive Lamborghini Veneno will have a very limited run of only three vehicles. One in red, one in white and one in green. Similar to the Italian flag.

Its design is laser focused on optimum aerodynamics and cornering stability, giving the Veneno the real dynamic experience of a race car, however is fully street legal.

With horsepower rated at a whopping 750hp, the Veneno accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 350 km/h. It is priced at $3.9 million USD. Don’t worry if you can’t afford it, all three vehicles have been pre-sold to lucky and rich customers.

Some of the Lamborghini Veneno’s features include a 6.5 litre, 12-cylinder engine, an extremely fast-shifting 7-speed ISR transmission with 5 driving modes and permanent all-wheel drive, as well as a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units.

Fully in keeping with the tradition of the brand, the name of the Veneno originates from a legendary fighting bull.

Veneno is the name of one of the strongest and most aggressive fighting bulls ever. He is also famous for being one of the fastest bulls in the history of bullfighting. His name became popular in 1914, when he fatally wounded the famous torero José Sánchez Rodríguez during the bullfight in the arena Sanlúcar de Barrameda’s, Andalusia, Spain.

The Viper is built in good old Detroit, Michigan and the plant has little to no automation. While other plants might have workers spend under a minute on each vehicle, building the Viper each worker spends 30 minutes on each car.

Chrysler’s Conner Avenue Assembly Plant had been closed for nearly two years prior, during the company’s bankruptcy proceeding.

All New Vipers are currently rolling off the line. The video takes one through the process from assembling the engine all the way to driving the car off the lot.

The video is impressive and worth a look for any Viper fan. Now just finding a way to afford such an amazing car would be the next step.

In the end the winner was chosen with a coin flip. Once it was established they both wanted the car and they were not going to give up. They decided to flip for it.

As it turns out Rick Champagne won the coin flip and paid $4.6 million for the car including all auction fees.

Rick stated that he plans on removing an exterior wall at his house to get the car inside and will display it in his living room.

No doubt that will be quite the conversation piece sitting in the middle of Rick’s home.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray is the most powerful standard model ever, with an estimated 450 horsepower (335 kW) and 450 lb.-ft. of torque (610 Nm). It is also the most capable standard model ever, able to accelerate from 0-60 in less than four seconds and achieve more than 1g in cornering grip. It is expected to be the most fuel-efficient Corvette, exceeding the EPA-estimated 26 mpg of the current model.

The new Corvette Stingray will be built at GM’s Bowling Green, Ky., assembly plant, which underwent a $131-million upgrade, including approximately $52 million for a new body shop to manufacture the aluminum frame in-house for the first time.

“We believe the Corvette represents the future of modern performance cars because it delivers more power, more driving excitement and better fuel efficiency,” said Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer. “The result is better performance by every measure. The 2014 Corvette delivers the fastest acceleration, the most cornering grip, the most track capability, the best braking performance and what we expect to be the best fuel economy ever for a standard Corvette.”
